Zebrafish model of Staphylococcus aureus bacteremia: The use of zebrafish as a modeling system for infections allows for real-time visualization of infections and the associated immune response. Using this model, we plan to investigate a variety of antibiotics and combination therapies for their effects on the immune system and bacteria.

Pharmacokinetics/Pharmacodynamics (PK/PD) analysis of long-acting antibiotics: Dalbavancin and oritavancin are two long-acting injectable antibiotics that are FDA approved for treating skin infections. However, they are frequently utilized off-label to manage more invasive infections that require longer durations of therapy. We utilize computer simulations to model various dosing regimens that have been reported in order to optimize therapy.
