infographic involving O-GlcNAc Homeostasis

O-GlcNAcylation is an essential protein glycosylation that modulates the function of numerous cellular proteins in response to nutrient and stress. Dysregulation of O-GlcNAcylation has been linked to many diseases, but the molecular mechanisms remain largely unknown. We are investigating aberrant functional regulation of O-GlcNAc cycling enzymes, rewired O-GlcNAc signaling and dysregulated pathways that drive malignant phenotypes in cancer and other diseases. This study is expected to illuminate new strategies for diagnosis and treatment.
