The bacteria research of Ben Shen, the Charles M. Johnson Chair in the School of Pharmacy and Professor of Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Sciences, may change the view of chemistry and chemotherapy and is highlighted in the February 27 edition of Wisconsin Week.

Shen’s blend of basic and applied chemistry in the area of natural products has been instrumental in launching a National Cooperative Drug Discovery Group (NCDDG) on campus.
