The School of Pharmacy’s White Coat Ceremony marks one of the first milestones along the pathway to a career in pharmacy. Students are presented with their first white coat, part of a professional wardrobe throughout their career, by a practicing pharmacist or faculty member as a welcome to the profession.
Friends and family of our first-year PharmD students may sponsor an individual student’s coat with a personalized message to the student. Personalized messages are placed in the coat pocket by the School of Pharmacy. The sponsorship of a student’s coat is available for a donation of $100 to the School of Pharmacy’s Student Success and Support Fund, which supports student programming like the White Coat Ceremony as well as other initiatives that directly benefit students. For tax purposes, the entire donation price of $100 is considered a contribution to a non-profit organization.
To sponsor a specific student’s coat, please fill out the form below. Once your form has been submitted, you will be routed to the University of Wisconsin Foundation’s website to process your donation online. Donations must be received by Thursday, August 29, 2024 for the 2024 event.
If you would like to sponsor a coat without a specific student in mind, please make a gift to the Student Success & Support Fund directly. General letters of encouragement from alumni to students may also be submitted by September 1.
