Michelle Chui, associate professor, in the Social and Administrative Sciences (SAS) Division, has developed a writing boot camp for graduate students in the SAS Division.
Modeled after the boot camp offered by the UW Writing Center to dissertators, the objective is to assist the writing process for SAS graduate students by providing participants with an intense, focused time to write in a supportive environment among other writers. Participants will have multiple opportunities to discuss writing projects. Daily check points will be organized to monitor progress and provide feedback. By the end of the boot camp, writers are expected to make significant progress on a project such as a paper, dissertation proposal, or grant application. Scheduled for January 2015, the two, all-day sessions will be led by Chui.
