The Pharmacy Society of Wisconsin has named Denise Walbrandt Pigarelli, associate professor (CHS) in the Pharmacy Practice Division, as the recipient of the 2013 Excellence in Innovative Pharmacy Practice Award.

The Excellence in Innovation Award is a national award sponsored by Upsher-Smith Laboratories and granted to recognize and honor a licensed Wisconsin pharmacist who has demonstrated significant innovation in their respective practice, method or service, directly or indirectly resulting in improved patient care and/or advancement of the profession of pharmacy. Pigarelli will receive recognition in an upcoming issue of The Journal of the Pharmacy Society of Wisconsin and at the annual awards banquet.
