The Clinical Practice, Innovation, and Research Division (CliPIR) is a diverse group of practitioners, researchers, and educators. The mission of CliPIR includes:
- Practice in diverse pharmacy settings to support patient care throughout Wisconsin
- Development of innovative pharmacy practices to optimize patient and public health
- Conduct of research across the translational spectrum, including pre-clinical, clinical, implementation, and policy analysis to improve the safety and effectiveness of medication use
- Education of students, health practitioners, and the public to improve medication use practices and outcomes

Clinical Practice
Our faculty:
- Care for patients across the lifespan from pediatrics to geriatrics, and offer individualized care through population health services

Research
Our faculty:
- Use a bench-to-bedside translational approach to advance clinical practice and novel therapeutic approaches
- Use mixed methods to evaluate and improve health services, leveraging insights from implementation science, behavioral science, and health economics
- Our research aims include ways to increase access to innovative practices and new solutions
Education
- Students learn from faculty who are teaching what they do!
- Faculty-designed courses are evidence-based, interprofessional, patient-centered and promote innovation and critical thinking
- The curriculum includes customized pathways directly applicable to future pharmacy careers
