Our Research
We aim to advance the translation and clinical use of drugs for various disease states in special populations, including pediatrics and older adults. We utilize pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic (PK/PD) modeling and simulation approaches to quantify the impact of physiological changes and pathological factors on drug disposition and pharmacological effects in these populations. Additionally, our translational research focuses on studying the intricate relationship between immune response and opioid tolerance in critically ill children, with the goal of identifying strategies to reduce overall opioid exposure in children.
