Credit by Examination Colleges and universities have differing policies that govern credit by examination. It is imperative that students who plan to transfer to UW-Madison be aware of the UW-Madison policies governing credit for these exams, because credit upon transfer will be granted in accordance with UW-Madison and School of Pharmacy policies. Students should not assume that credits for the above exams that may have been granted by other colleges or universities will be accepted by UW-Madison. UW-Madison Credit by Exam Policies Advanced Placement Credit Policy International Baccalaureate Credit Policy College-Level Examination Program Exam Credit Policy Retroactive Foreign Language Credits Retroactive foreign language credit is not granted on the basis of an exam; students must satisfactorily complete (i.e, earn a grade of at least B) in a “confirming” course to earn such credit. This confirming course, which is a course beyond the first semester of the foreign language, must be completed before students complete 30 semester credits. In addition, students at UW-Madison must submit a Retroactive Language Credit Request Form to the course instructor during the first two weeks of class. Questions about credit by examination?
