If you are interested in population-based research, policy, and writing, this rotation is for you! Unlike our other international rotations, this rotation does not include patient care activities. During this rotation, you will gain skills required to work in population-based healthcare research, learn data collection methodology, expand your scientific writing skills and gain experience in publishing.Sydney Harbor with the bridge and Opera House

Population-based research is important to medicine because it expands our knowledge of health by looking at cause and effect of health and disease on a select patient population. It is from this research that many of our current public health and clinical guidelines and interventions are developed.

Educational experiences include: developing your oral and written presentation skills, opportunities for scholarly publication, and research methodology and reporting.


Housing has been identified for you in the outback! Preceptors on site will help you to locate affordable housing close to the office.
