March

3,

2021

The Pharmacy Summer Program (PSP) by the UW–Madison School of Pharmacy aims to give high school students who are traditionally underrepresented in healthcare the opportunity to learn about careers in pharmacy, our PharmD program, and to become familiar with the UW–Madison campus. Students from socioeconomically disadvantaged backgrounds, underrepresented races in healthcare, rural communities, or first-generation students are highly encouraged to participate.

This is a free program.

This virtual camp runs from March 3 – June 2, 2021, with eight required virtual meetings and ~30 hours of self-paced learning activities. See requirements for participation and dates for mandatory virtual meetings.

High school campers who participate will:

  • Learn about the pharmacy profession and career paths available to graduates with a PharmD degree
  • Have opportunities to learn from practicing pharmacists
  • Gain a familiarity with the UW–Madison campus, admissions processes, and financing options for undergraduate and professional (PharmD) education
  • Connect regularly with the program director and PharmD student leader throughout the duration of the program
  • Access tools and resources to become a competitive applicant for pharmacy schools
