Presentation

Chemical Probe Discovery for Transcription Factors

Transcription Factors govern key cellular processes underlying development and disease. Genetic studies have implicated a number of transcription factors in various cancers. To date, transcription factors have proven to be recalcitrant to traditional drug discovery approaches. A critical path for identifying chemical tools that perturb oncogenic transcription will be presented with emphasis on a recent story related to a chemical probe that attenuates Myc-driven transcription in cellular and animal models.
