The Psychiatric and Neurologic Pharmacy Student Interest Group is hosting Dr. Gidal, a professor at the UW School of Pharmacy, who will present on the topic of medical marijuana.  Dr. Gidal is the Chair of the Pharmacy Practice Division at the the School of Pharmacy, and he is involved in providing pharmaceutical care to patients with epilepsy as well as research regarding epilepsy.  He will discuss what the term “medical marijuana” means, present current research, and give insight into how it will affect patient care.  As medical professionals, our patients will expect us to be able to answer questions about this topic, so it is important for us to know the evidence-based, unbiased information regarding it.  This seminar is open to medical, nursing, and pharmacy students and faculty.
