Chewning contributes expertise to program review and research study sections

Betty Chewning, professor and Apple Distinguished Chair in the Social and Administrative Sciences Division, served as a member of the Study Team for the University of North Carolina Eshelman School of Pharmacy Pharmaceutical Sciences Graduate School Program Review 2008-2016. This included review of five graduate programs with Chewning taking the lead for the reviews on the Division of Pharmaceutical Outcomes and Policy and also for the Division of Practice Advancement and Clinical Education.

She also recently served as chair of two research study sections for the Canadian Institutes of Health Research. These study sections are among the earliest efforts to include three patient stakeholders with traditional research experts from across Canada and England on the research study sections.
