2017 Madison Clinical Conference: Infectious Disease

Join us in April to better your skills around infectious disease management. Today’s health care environment is dynamic and challenging not only for infectious disease specialists, but for everybody within the healthcare team. The effect of infectious diseases has resulted in an international focus in how healthcare providers can better understand and treat those impacted.

As a jointly accredited program, the goal of this conference is to provide an interprofessional audience of pharmacists, nurses, physicians, and other interested healthcare practitioners, with updates in managing select infectious diseases. This activity will provide attendees with the clinical knowledge to enable them to more effectively treat and manage patients with infectious diseases, as well as to work collaboratively with other members of the healthcare team. As a result of participating in this conference, attendees should be able to:

  • Describe and discuss the pathophysiology and morbidity and mortality of select infectious diseases.
  • Identify and outline the pharmacologic management of select infectious diseases.
  • Identify strategies to facilitate healthcare provider/patient interactions and communication to assist patients in their management of select infectious diseases.

Hear from experts from UW-Madison School of Pharmacy, Veterans Affairs, Medical College of Wisconsin, and University of Michigan College of Pharmacy.
