Cohen awarded prestigious Defense Department fellowship

Hannah Cohen, graduate student studying in the laboratory of May Xiong, assistant professor in the Pharmaceutical Sciences Division, has been selected to receive a 2011 National Defense Science and Engineering Graduate (NDSEG) fellowship from the U.S. Department of Defense.

Kleinbeck awarded research travelship

Kyle Kleinbeck, a pharmaceutical sciences graduate student, will spend eight weeks in Singapore this summer studying stem-cell therapies skin regeneration and wound healing with Dr. Casey Chan in the departments of Bioengineering and Orthopedic Surgery at the National University of Singapore.
Grant supports first large study for bacterial infections

Warren Rose, assistant professor (CHS) in the Pharmacy Practice Division, has been awarded funding from Cubist Pharmaceutics, Inc. for a clinical study of a unique combination of antibiotics for the treatment of deep-seated Gram-positive infections.
