UW Pharmacy Alumni Association
President
As fall approaches I can’t help but think about leaves changing colors and how the times are changing. We have a state government experiencing an overwhelming amount of change, we have a new class of pharmacy students eager to start their four year journey to creating a pharmacy career for themselves, and a new quarterback getting ready to lead his Badger football team. But rooted deep amongst these changes is tradition. This tradition drenched us the minute we became a Wisconsin Badger and continues stronger than ever as we call ourselves alumni—not only of the University, but of the School of Pharmacy.
My husband, not an alumnus of the UW by the way, insists that we are injected with some sort of Badger red blood before we graduate. He can’t believe how dedicated we are to our alma mater and our profession. I could not be more proud of my fellow alumni for the support they show our ever-evolving School. I encourage all of us to keep this tradition strong by supporting our fabulous Pharmacy Alumni Association.
- Attend a PAA sponsored event
- Become a Mentor
- Donate to the scholarship fund (the UW Foundation matches fifty cents to every dollar!)
- Visit the school or talk to a pharmacy student
I always get a new energy and drive to bring back to the workplace after being around the School, faculty, students and fellow alumni. Who wouldn’t want to be a part of this pharmacy tradition?
On Wisconsin Pharmacy!
